On new and simple ways to display information

I was reading the Green Guide in today’s Melbourne Age. In the Websights section I noticed a short paragraph about a service, still in beta, that combines photos, video, and music into a professional looking multimedia product.

The service is from Animoto and this is what they are about: “Each video is a fully customized orchestration of user-selected images and music. Produced on a widescreen format, Animoto videos have the visual energy of a music video and the emotional impact of a movie trailer”.

In a previous blog post I  looked at the possibilities of assembling a coffee-table quality book from digital photos with Momento. Animoto is another way in which images can be presented in an interesting and entertaining way. And it’s not only for home entertainment – the possibility for use in corporate environments should not be underestimated.

Something to play around with over the summer holidays!
